Montessori Method
What is the Montessori Method?
It is the method created and described by Maria Montessori that uses mayeutics* in a practical way to promote children’s learning.
In Montessori pedagogy, both the guide or teacher and the child’s finding the study environment ready to develop his or her life there are fundamental.
The prepared environment is the school environment where the child will spend an important part of his day and it must be adapted to his needs and size, it must offer furniture and spaces to organise all the activity and materials. One of the ideas of the method is that we learn better if we manipulate material that helps us to understand ideas or mathematical or language concepts and therefore in the prepared environment the children have to find materials designed and prepared to help them advance in their learning process.
The adult, guide or Montessori teacher, allows the children to act and think for themselves, respecting their preferences and learning times, it is a very personalised teaching where their curiosity and approach to the contents is encouraged.
In this pedagogical model, children of different ages live together in the same space (workshop), which reinforces the learning of the younger children and the sociability of the older ones.
*Maieutics is a Socratic learning method that uses dialogue with the child so that through a series of dialogues and questions he or she discovers truths for him or herself.

Our school also aims to be a meeting point for parents and families which, while respecting the individuality and ideas of all, allows us to advance in the personal and integral development of children by promoting new activities within a wider community where the value of diversity and coexistence is perceived.
